Alpine has launched an aggressive plan to support its popular subwoofer line. The company is debuting 12 new subwoofer models at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Jan. 10-13 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Alpine’s standard 12-inch and 10-inch subwoofers will now use the same enclosure requirements, so the company will introduce a unified subwoofer box program, making it easy for consumers and retailers to select the best box for optimal output.
“We have had great success with our subwoofers and are committed to growing this important category,” said Steve Crawford, vice president and general manager, Alpine “By using a new Alpine subwoofer in a ’Tuned for Alpine’ enclosure, the consumer gets the best subwoofer performance, the way it was meant to be experienced.”
Overall, Alpine boasts 21 models in its subwoofer lineup. More than half of these models are new and come from the Type-R, Type-S and Type-E lines. A distinction of Alpine subwoofers has been the exclusive H.A.M.R (High Amplitude Multi-Roll Surround) technology, which is a suite of features that work together to produce extreme excursion without sacrificing cone area.
